Who are you calling messy?

Not our Little Beauties. They are way too cute to be messy. We had a nice dinner all together tonight. Daddy cooked. The cleaning was a joint effort as it was a disaster. We had a yummy spaghetti dinner and (Silvie's favorite) broccoli, with vanilla and strawberry yogurt for dessert. It was straight into the tub, for the Littlest Beauties when they were finished. The entire kitchen was a yellow tape zone...noodles sauce and yogurt smeared over every surface within reach to them, including themselves, each other, and Mommy too. Be sure to pause the tunes in the sidebar before watching the videos...

Talking in their sleep

It's 2 am...I am awake...Matt began the night shift tonight. Weird. I keep laying in bed...giggling. At least 2, maybe all 3 of the Littlest Beauties are talking in their sleep. I mean literally having a conversation while they are sleeping. I am almost positive it is Farrah and Silvie. When I went in to check on them (after the chatting had been going on for sometime) Jocelyn seems to be sound asleep on her tummy, Farrah and Silvie are on their sides, facing each other. They are talking and giggling in their sleep...I think it is quite possibly one of the sweetest things I have ever witnessed! Good Night

Little Beauties at the Pumpkin Patch

Getting ready to go to the Pumpkin Patch. Can you tell Chloe is more than ready to go?

What a fun afternoon we had the the patch. Honey Acre Orchards. We picked lots of apples. Ate apples. Looked for special pumpkins, grown just for us. Ate some more apples. The Little Beauties ran around like they owned the place. Matt and I decided that we would love to own an orchard/pumpkin patch (maybe someday.) By the way...almost all of our apples have been eaten already! We have discovered the Little Beauties love to eat them with skin and NOT cut into slices. Yep. They prefer the entire apple. Whatever works.

Curtain peek-a-boo

Our road trip to Des Moines went very well. I was a bit nervous when we started out yesterday afternoon, as I decided to for-go laying the Beauties down for their afternoon nap, thinking they would snooze on the way. We merged onto I80 and not long after that, traffic slowed to a stop. Accident on our route. We creeped and crawled for just shy of an hour. The Beauties were a bit impatient, but as soon soon as we were moving at a steady pace of 74 mph again, snoozing they were. Chloe was my road buddy the entire way. We sang and giggled and looked at the moo-moos grazing the the parallel fields. Chloe was amazed that I had "put the directions in my head" and just could not figure out how on earth I put them in there. We arrived about forty-five minutes before Daddy was finished with class. The Little Beauties had a GRAND time in the hotel room. Yep...they trashed the joint. They jumped on the beds, kissed the mirrors and played peek-a-boo in the curtains. When Daddy arrived they were thrilled to see him! We headed to Bennigans for dinner. As we studied the menu for what to order, the Beauties enjoyed their crayons, yes literally. (Why is it the toddlers eat crayons again?) Our server was so sweet! She loved watching the girls make a mess. Just a little FYI...kids eat FREE on Tuesdays at Bennigans...wow...cool...The Beauties favorite part were the shamrock cookies, complete with green sparkles for dessert. Should make for interesting diapers. After dinner we let the Beauties run the hallways at the hotel. The other guests were all smiles. We were quite famous! Jocelyn and Farrah were waving bye-bye to everyone that walked past us. Farrah and Silvie do not like riding in "alligators". They hold on for dear life. Kind of cute really. Chloe did the same thing until about two years ago. She broke her fear of "alligators" while Mommy was "living" in the hospital. We changed into our jammies, gave Daddy lots of hugs and kisses (enough to last him until Friday I think) and started back home. All four girls fell asleep almost instantly. Mommy caught up on some quiet time. It was a quick trip, but worth it. We sure do miss Daddy! Cannot wait until Friday when he is back at home.

Papa's Party Night...part 2

We started the party with a walk in Hills. The Little Beauties, Papa and I walked to the school to pick up Mollimarie from her afterschool program. Molli was excited to have her cousins pick her up. We played outside at Papa and Gram's for a while until everyone else arrived. Of course they Beauties took a ride in their cars. Chloe played frisbee with Jesse and we worked up a case of the "hungries". Dinner was yummy. The Littlest Beauties really enjoyed the lasagna. Chloe wouldn't try it...big surprise...After dinner we sang Happy Birthday to Papa...twice. He even got to blow out his candles twice. (The Beauties love singing and blowing out candles.) Cake was everyone's favorite. No shocker, huh? It was a good evening with Papa and Grammy, Nana Reta, Uncle Chad and Aunt Dee were there too. Jesse even enjoyed some of the birthday yummies. (She helped clean up the floor after the Beauties were finished eating.) We did a little dancing with skeletons and playing with Uncle Chaddy's phone after dinner. The Little Beauties even learned how to blow a whistle tonight. Happy Birthday Papa...we enjoyed spending the day with you!

Happy Birthday Papa from your Little Punkins!

Look out Food Network...

Here I come!

Mmmm...cake batter...

We love you Papa!
Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday dear Papa
Happy Birthday to You!
We love you Papa, and are so excited for your party tonight! It has been a busy day of preparing. We started this morning and realized Mommy had no sauce to make lasagna! Homemade sauce you're thinking...yeah right, we are talking about me here, I burn water, remember...So we decided since we had to go out and get the sauce...we would make a visit to the Great Gramma at Flowerama to get some balloons for Papa and then go visit him at Atrium. The Beauties LOVED Flowerama...there is a lot of things to break in there ya know! Papa was very surprised to see us. Each of the Beauties, or as Papa calls them, "his little punkins" gave him a balloon and then we paraded around Atrium saying hello to the residents. They are always amazed and full of smiles for the Beauties! The lasagna is finished (looks pretty yummy too) The cake is complete (Chloe did most of it herself. If you find a shell...sorry.) We are just awaiting the Littlest Beauties to wake up from nap-time and we will be southbound to Hills! Stay tuned for some party photos to come later this evening.

Road Trip...part 1

We are heading to Des Moines this afternoon to visit Daddy. The trip was scheduled for Thursday, however, we learned this morning that Daddy have class until 7:30 on Thursday...which for obvious reasons will not work for the Little Beauties. Stay tuned to hear how a 2 hour drive went with Mommy and Beauties. I hope it is VERY uneventful!

Mullet Girl

Okay I know it sounds kind of funny...but it is not. Silvie's hair is falling out! Or she's pulling it out! Or a combination of the two! I am so worried. Sounds vain, but her beautiful hair! I made an appointment with her Pediatrician for Thursday. The nurse at the clinic says there are several things that can cause this. Poor sweetie. The entire front part of her hair is missing. I suspect pulling is the main problem. She has started a new habit with her "fifi". She grabs a section of hair with the "fifi" and pulls it down over her eyes and nose and into her mouth with the rubber part. This started about a ten days ago. We thought it was so cute when she started it. We noticed her hair missing Thursday, which makes it not so cute and more worrisome that her hair is coming out, and so easily. She literally has a mullet look going right now.

Dancing Queens

Okay Bloggers...no laughing at me...I have finally figured out video and how to add a video to a post...YEA WHOO! I know, it took me long enough and rally I probably could have asked, but I felt a bit silly and computer challenged. All I have been able to come up with thus far is posting through UTube, which is fine and all...but within a post...so much better. Okay, I am finished cheering myself on...(feel free to give me a bravo if you want though.) Here is a little clip of the Beauties dancing this afternoon. Too cute not to share...

Fun Times

The Little Beauties and Mommy headed to "Tot Time" this morning. It was 2 fun filled hours. There were lots of new faces and tons of toys to play with/on/in. We met Nurse Bev and her grand kids, David and Lizzie. The beauties loved chasing David around. It was non-stop play/run/climb. I had to bribe them with graham crackers to get them to leave when time was up. We purchased a punch pass and I have a feeling it will become our new Friday morning activity throughout the colder months. After a nap this afternoon, we decided to head to the park for some more play time. The weather was GORGEOUS, and we could not bare to look out from the inside. We trekked to the Ghetto park...haha...in the new Choo-Choo. Of course a great time as always! We ended the day of play in our backyard...playing in Daddy's hunting blind. Fall is in the air! YEAH!

Growing like Weeds

The 3 Littlest Beauties had their 18 month Baby Well check today. (Yes, I know they are almost 19 months.) We began the visit with the Pediatric Specialty Clinic. This is the clinic they go to because they were 7 weeks premature. We had stellar reports today! The Beauties have "Graduated" the Specialty Clinic! Yeah Little or shall I say "Big" Beauties. During the appointments with the nurses, the girls basically play and perform tasks. Stacking, throwing, listening to and following directions. They are screening for any type of development issues. Jocelyn had been on schedule since the first appointment at four months. (She has been the whizkid.) Farrah and Silvie had both performed at their adjusted age (2 months behind their actual age) since four months. But today...All three were performing beyond their actual age! No age adjustment! HOORAY! They can be seen solely by their pediatrician from this point forward! Katie and Diane (the nurses that care for the girls in the clinic) were so happy to pass them with flying colors...but sad they would not be seeing them in clinic. Next on to "Dr. Stacy" in the Pediatric Clinic. She was so excited to see all three walking and talking and climbing! She was also more than pleased with their development! Said they are still a bit small size wise...but not concerned. They are following their own little growth curves. She asked about eating which is great...they eat everything...veggies and fruits are their favorites. They asked about vocabulary...at least 20-25 recognizable words...in addition to their own "triplet language"...way beyond where they are expected to be! Sleeping habits...all night on their own! Big accomplishment for Mommy! Again a stellar report!

Here are the stats:
Jocelyn Pearl weighing in at 21 lbs 15oz (14%) 31 1/2 inches tall (our big girl)
Farrah Grace weighing in at 19 lbs 10oz (under chart) 30 1/4 inches tall (tiny tot)
Silvie Mae weighting in at 21 lbs 2 oz (7%) 31 1/2 inches tall (right in the middle)

They have come so very far as you can see from the photos above. Taken on the day they were born, one week and at just under one month! Amazing what has changed in 18months!
