They sure are proud of those pumpkins

The Beauties made a visit to the pumpkin patch last weekend with Gma Val, Aunt Ande and Haley.  There were lots of animals to visit, pony rides and of course pumpkins.  The ponies names were Ned and Princess and of course they all wanted to ride the same pony...Ned won the popularity contest.  Although Farrah decided to give Princess some love too.
The Beauties picked out some big pumpkins and are very excited to paint them.  We decided since Mommy is kinda still unable to dig out 4 gigantic pumpkins we would try something new this year.

"Little Punkins" at the Pumpkin Patch

We made our annual trip to the patch on Sunday. What a great way to spend my birthday. Out in the fall air with my hubby and our beauties! The girls were very excited to find their pumpkins and pick apples. Although they still were feeling pretty crummy...yes I am one of those that probably should stay home and not spread germs, but the fresh air always seems to to everyone good. In my defense, we were outside, not in any type of confined space.
Honey Acres still had plenty of apples to pick (and eat) and we ate plenty. I think by the end, we may have eaten more than we brought home. The triplets were even double fisting them. Chloe had a blast using the apple picker. She was a pro this year.

Pumpkins and leaves

Jocelyn giving her pumpkin a kiss.

Chloe posing...as usual.

Papa raking...beauties jumping.

Farrah and Silvie chatting.
Jumping in the big pile.

Silvie posing. She learned it from Big Sissy.
Where's Chloe?
Jocelyn...so serious.
Papa came over on Wednesday to help rake up some leaves. The Little Beauties enjoyed "helping" Papa by redistributing leaves to the yard from the pile. Thanks again Papa!

Fun Times

The Little Beauties and Mommy headed to "Tot Time" this morning. It was 2 fun filled hours. There were lots of new faces and tons of toys to play with/on/in. We met Nurse Bev and her grand kids, David and Lizzie. The beauties loved chasing David around. It was non-stop play/run/climb. I had to bribe them with graham crackers to get them to leave when time was up. We purchased a punch pass and I have a feeling it will become our new Friday morning activity throughout the colder months. After a nap this afternoon, we decided to head to the park for some more play time. The weather was GORGEOUS, and we could not bare to look out from the inside. We trekked to the Ghetto park...haha...in the new Choo-Choo. Of course a great time as always! We ended the day of play in our backyard...playing in Daddy's hunting blind. Fall is in the air! YEAH!

Little Beauties enjoy a Fall day

After a l-o-n-g morning of still running noses and short tempers, we picked Chloe up from school and headed to the park. Fall is here...YEAH...my favorite time of the year! I wish it was like this all year long. I love the cool air and the warm sun. Wearing long sleeves and hats. The Little Beauties had a great time running free at the park. Yea...I felt daring I guess. We were at the park for almost a full hour with no one else around. They enjoyed climbing and sliding and swinging...the most favorite of all four. After about an hour and ten minutes some other park patrons arrived and the beauties started going in four different directions. Mommy was alone and can not go four different ways (three is my maximum)...so after about ten more minutes, we packed pack and headed home. Maybe the fresh air will help the germies go away. Happy Fall to all! Check in tomorrow...We will be taking the Little Beauties and enjoying the fall weather at the Pumpkin Patch!

Fall or Summer?

We have been busy bees around here the last 2 weeks. Spending time outside. Going for walks to the park and feeding the ducks. The last few days all the girls have come down with a bit of a cold. I blame it on the weather. It has gone from low 40's back up to high 90's all week long. We had the air back on over the weekend and probably should have had the heat on at least a couple nights. I am a fall girl by nature. I love brisk mornings with a light frost on the grass. I love the cool, calm nights that fall brings. I love football games and pumpkins, the leaves changing color and picking apples. I am not really a summer girl. I really dislike the heat and humid climate. (I know, why Iowa? My family is here!) So needless to say I am more than ready for fall to be here. I am tired of summer during the day and fall at night. I am ready for sweaters and hats! Not ready for winter though...(thought I would stick that in there.) I don't like snow either. I know, I know...high maintenance. Point to this post...been busy...no extra time to post. I will get back into the swing of things...I promise. Plus Matt is on vacation for TWO WEEKS! YEAH! (His "honey-do list" is not too long.)
