Note to self

The Beauties and I, (okay mostly I) decided to make some "new" crayons last week. I saw the idea in a magazine and it looked kind of fun. One of the Beauties favorite things to do is to peel the paper off the crayons. Not sure why but they really enjoy doing it. We had a bucket full of "gently" used crayons (kidding they were used and abused) so we went to work peeling paper. The girls were pretty fast at it from all that practice. After peeling we grouped like colors (educational huh?) we broke them into small pieces and put them in a muffin pan to melt into bigger, round shaped crayons. Here's where the not to self comes in...When doing crafts you have not done before, especially one involving melted wax...DO NOT use the Pampered Chef Mini Muffin pan...because not all the melted crayon comes out when you are finished. Instead go buy a cheap one to use...or just buy some new crayons. Lesson learned. The hard way.

What have you done

Farrah, Farrah, Farrah.
You are going to drive Mommy to the nuthouse...
It started out as a normal morning. Daddy took Chloe to school. The triplets made a mess with their oatmeal, which in turn led to a mid morning bath. The beauties LOVE mid morning baths. They would play in their all day if I would allow it. However the water gets a bit cold...anyway...
I took them out one at a time, brushed their teeth and lifted them over the gate into the living room. Silvie was the last one out of the tub today, because she wanted to "swim." As I lifted her over the gate, I looked up and caught my dear, sweet little Farrah, sitting on the recliner with the bottle of baby lotion. Of course the cap was on the floor, and lotion was smeared EVERYWHERE. The chair was literally white on the seat. She had enough lotion on the chair to lotion, herself, her sisters, me and two towels. Pretty much the entire bottle. The chair is trashed. Not much hope for the saturated stain. What could I do besides...take a picture and then laugh? These are the days of my life.

Little Mess Makers

Here's the new "trick" we've pulled out of our hats Mommy!
We take all of the clothing out of our dresser, toss it onto the floor and then put ourselves in the drawer...Mommy, why do you have on a mad face?

Mommy...look we "cleaned up" our toy room. We did it all by ourselves in less than five minutes. Mommy, you have the mad face again...

m is for messy

Matt and I took the girls to the Farmers Market this week. They loved it. Especially Chloe. She really enjoyed walking for tent to tent to see what they people were selling. She picked a hand made Hannah Montana charm bracelet. Yes...they even sell those at the Farmers Market. We picked out some yummy tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini. Daddy chose some Iowa chops and home-made strawberry jam. Jocelyn, Farrah and Silvie picked black raspberries. Yep add another fruit to the l-o-n-g list of fruit they like. Actually they LOVED them as you can tell by the photos. They could not get them into their mouths fast enough! They were a Mess. Capital M. Chloe didn't try them. But I will saw she has tried peas and blueberries this week. Of course she liked neither. Oh well at least she tried them, right? I think the Farmers Market will be a new frequently visited venue for us. We all enjoyed the picks!
