Pool side Beauties

More dipping in the pool

The Littlest Beauties took a 3 hour and 15 minute nap today! Can I get a "hells yeah!" They woke up in splendid moods, so of course I treated them to some more time outside in the pool. They were eager and just as giggly as this morning. They even did a little skinny dipping! Skinny dipping is what happens after you make a "ca ca" outside and Mommy is too lazy to get more diapers. (Had the wipes out there but no diapers...oh well.) They loved being in the buff in the water! Our neighbors thought it was pretty cute too.

"Toadies" in the pool

With the grass freshly mowed this morning...yes it was still wet...we decided to brave the heat by filling up the baby pool. Within two minutes it was full of grass clippings...no matter...the Little Beauties didn't mind the grass much. They splashed and played and most of all giggled. We dumped the water and refilled it with clean water maybe we will head back out after our nappy.
Chloe, my Tomboy, found two toads jumping in the grass. She caught the big fat one and he even took a dip in the pool. The baby one was a bit too fast for her and for Mommy. The littlest Beauties do not share her love of toads. In fact the words they use to describe them "no toadie, no icky." Maybe one of them will be a girlie girl...maybe three? Can I be so lucky?

Pool Party

The Beauties broke in their new pool yesterday. The water was a bit chilly, but the sun was warm and they didn't mind the nippy water. They splashed and giggled all afternoon. Let the water out of the pool twice and even put their trikes in for a swim...all three at the same time. I put the slide into the pool, which was their favorite part. They took turns fairly well. They was no pushing or shoving. Only a few minor tiffs. I see many sun filled days in the pool in our future. I cannot wait.

Sunny Side Up

High 80's. Sunshine. Not a cloud in the sky. The first time in the pool. Burr... The water was a bit chilly. However, the girls loved it! They would have stayed in, well, forever if we would have stayed in too. Matt was in and then back out almost instantly. So "manly" of him. What's a little cold water? Sorry Stink. I on the other hand didn't really mind the cold water so much. It was more the bugs biting me over and over. After Friday night (beverages around the fire) I had little, if any not bitten skin left so sitting in the water didn't last as long as it could have. Back to the beauties...Jocelyn went in first...head first. She is the dare devil. No fear! She jumped right in! Farrah and Silvie stood by the side a little longer and then were placed into the pool. They loved splashing and of course drinking the water. Umm, Yuck! Chloe loved her new hot pink goggles. Although she still would not get her face anywhere close to the water. It was worth a try I guess. She looks very fashionable in them even if she will not put her face in the water. That's my girl...High Maintenance". We had to drag Chloe out after about an hour. Her fingers and lips were blue (from the water being cold) and her fingers and toes looked like raisins. Maybe we will let the water warm in the sun a few more days and try it all again!
