Firsts...

Jocelyn came out of the bathroom at my parents tonight with a secret.
A secret only Farrah knew.
Farrah wasn't telling anyone...except Silvie.
So comical how they were keeping the secret between the tree of them.
The secret didn't last long...
Jocelyn's tooth was loose.  I mean REALLY REALLY loose.
It's strange because she hadn't noticed it was loose until just then.  I even helped her brush her teeth this morning and didn't notice.
She decided she was going to let Big Sis the Birthday Girl help her with the very delicate removal of the first loose tooth.
Chloe sat on the counter with her, and a kleenex, trying to carefully remove the tooth.
After several kleenex, Daddy gave it a shot, but he couldn't get it either.
It was wiggling away and needed to come out, so she didn't swallow it.
Grandma, gave it a shot.  After two small tugs, Grandma had it.
Jocelyn was so excited.  So nervous.  And then back to excited again.  The tooth Fairy was coming to see her!
Silvie was quite upset.  Not because Jocelyn's mouth was bleeding, or because her sister had a hole where her tooth had been...but because SHE WANTED TO LOOSE A TOOTH TOO!

What a BIG GIRL!
My triplets are growing up...

Birthday Fun

Chloe had a birthday weekend...instead of only one day.
Which I believe, she kind of liked...a lot.
It started on Friday.  I took lunch and flowers to her at school and ate with her in the cafeteria.  It was so much fun for both of us to have lunch at school together.
It continued Saturday after ice-skating lessons.  We had some Chloe and Mommy only time while everyone napped.  It was super nice to be just the two of us.  We decided to play some board games.  (We tried Battleship.)
Saturday night Matt and I took the Beauties to the famous Chuck E. Cheese.  WOW.  It was an experience.  The Beauties had a great time.  Which made it worth the experience.
Chloe had her choice of dinner today...she chose her favorite pizza place downtown.  It's called Mesa.  They have the incredible mac-n-cheese pizza, which of course was Chloe's pick.  Grandma Val and Grandpa Dave, Ande and Haley came down to celebrate with us.  After dinner we headed to the yogurt shop.  We even sang happy birthday over yogurt.
Next stop, Grandma Pam and Poppy's house.  Grandma made Chloe a cake, her favorite flavor, vanilla.  Happy Birthday of course was sung and she finally got to blow out her birthday candles.  We celebrated the evening away.
Happy Birthday Chloe!

Happy Birthday Chloe

Happy Birthday Sweet Chloe!
Eight years ago today you graced my life with beauty.
I love you.

Eight Years Ago

Eight years ago,
I became a Mommy.
Chloe's Mommy.
It was a day that feels like yesterday and yet so long ago.
A day when everything in my life changed.
I became a Mom.  The way I looked at the world was different.  They way I looked at my husband was different.  The way I looked at my parents was different.  The way I looked at life was different.
Better.
Wonderful.
I became a Mom.
God had given me a perfect miracle.
I held her at my breast, close to my heart.
She was my beautiful miracle.
So small.  So fragile.  So precious.
Wonderful.
A miracle.
I still remember looking at her for the first time.  Touching her cheek to mine for the first time.  Looking into her eyes for the first time.  Feeding her for the first time.  Her sweet lips.
Falling in love with her over and over and over again.
My miracle.
My 7lb 5oz baby girl.
I remember taking her home.
So scared and so ready to be her Mommy.
Holding her and watching her sleep.  Rocking her when she cried.
She is my everything.  My Chloe.
So many firsts have gone, first bath, first smiles, first laughs.  First words, first steps, first lost tooth.  First overnight at Grandma and Papas, first day of school.
So many firsts still to come...
I cherish each day with my miracle.
I am in love with being a Mommy.
Life was changed eight years ago...I could not imagine it any different now.
I am a Mommy.
