Note to self
The Beauties and I, (okay mostly I) decided to make some "new" crayons last week. I saw the idea in a magazine and it looked kind of fun. One of the Beauties favorite things to do is to peel the paper off the crayons. Not sure why but they really enjoy doing it. We had a bucket full of "gently" used crayons (kidding they were used and abused) so we went to work peeling paper. The girls were pretty fast at it from all that practice. After peeling we grouped like colors (educational huh?) we broke them into small pieces and put them in a muffin pan to melt into bigger, round shaped crayons. Here's where the not to self comes in...When doing crafts you have not done before, especially one involving melted wax...DO NOT use the Pampered Chef Mini Muffin pan...because not all the melted crayon comes out when you are finished. Instead go buy a cheap one to use...or just buy some new crayons. Lesson learned. The hard way.
